Hi, I’m Corinne!
I make Music Theory easy for Speech-Language Pathologists and other pediatric professionals.
You know your clients learn faster with music. Now you get to learn why.
WELCOME TO Crescendo Communication
Corinne Zmoos is a Speech Therapist, Clinical Mentor, Certified Myofunctional Therapist, and musician. She is dedicated to bringing musical evidence to clinicians and parents of neurodivergent children - especially autistic kiddos and Gestalt Language Processors - to supercharge language acquisition.
This website serves as the home base for all that Corinne offers through Crescendo Communication. The company’s name captures the steady momentum of growth that we hear in a musical crescendo. Corinne hopes you will also feel your own steady growth over time as you explore her offerings.
The Power of Music Theory
Music is the universal language.
Speech, language, and music are woven together like a tapestry, stemming from a “common cognitive root” that perceives and untangles acoustic patterns to find meaning. For some kids, the melodic meanings they take in are much more important than the words themselves.
You may know them as Gestalt Language Processors - kids who take in big chunks of meaning from the world (song lyrics, movie lines, and even catchphrases with memorable intonation and underlying emotions) and echo them back. They are truly creative communicators.
Where does music theory come in? Underneath the echolalia you hear are dozens of musical elements working together that make a script ‘stick’ and become delayed Gestalts. When you learn to harness the power of the musical science underneath these scripts, your clients will feel more seen, heard, and understood. They will learn faster from you and with you because you will finally be speaking their language.

"As an SLP, I can say with confidence that Corinne is brilliant. Her passion for this field, particularly music, gestalt processing, and communication in general, is evident. It’s rare that I trust my own kids with another professional, but she made it easy. I would highly recommend any and all of her services without question. I wish there were more SLPs like Corinne!"
